Read the terms that apply to using the JKZ Network URL Shortener Chrome Extension for shortening links directly from your browser.
Last updated: August 02, 2026
These terms govern your installation and use of the JKZ Network URL Shortener Chrome Extension. By installing the extension from the Chrome Web Store and connecting it to your account, you agree to these terms.
1. Extension Functionality
The JKZ Network URL Shortener Chrome Extension is a utility designed to let you shorten links, generate QR codes, copy links to your clipboard, and manage redirects directly from your browser. It communicates with your account via your API key and base Site URL settings.
2. Data Collection and Stored Credentials
The extension requires permissions to access active browser tabs to fetch the URL you wish to shorten. We store your configured API key and preferred Base URL locally inside the secure extension storage. We do not track your browsing history or collect passwords. Tab data is only accessed when you actively open the extension popup or use the right-click context menu shortening feature.
3. User Responsibility
You are responsible for the security of your device and the API key saved in the extension settings. If you use the extension on a shared computer, other users might access your account features. You agree not to use the extension to shorten links that violate our Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Modification and Updates
We may push automatic updates to the Chrome Web Store to fix bugs, add features, or update compatibility. We are not responsible for compatibility issues on outdated browser versions.
